Brigadier (Retired) Colin Tadier OBE

Colin Tadier served in the British Army for over 30 years, attaining the rank of Brigadier. He was commissioned into the Royal Artillery from Sandhurst and served throughout the world, in command and staff appointments at home and on operations. Operational tours were in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan, where he was the Deputy Commander during the initial deployment into Kabul. He was awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS) whilst Commanding 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery in Bosnia, and his CBE whilst working at the UK’s Permanent Joint Headquarters in London, when NATO troops deployed into Kosovo. He took up his appointment as Director of Regions, in the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, on 24th March 2014.

He is married with two grown up daughters. He lives in Berkshire (near London), but his family home is in Jersey (the ‘old’ version!). His interests include most sports, cryptic crosswords, travel, dining out and antiques.
