Home Base's Intensive Clinical Program (ICP)
Home Base is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds for Service Members, Veterans and their Families through clinical care, fitness and wellness-based programs, community outreach, education and research.
Home Base is a Boston Based partnership between Massachusetts General Hospital and The Red Sox Foundation that offers world-class clinical care and support, in addition to fitness and mind-body wellness programs for Service Members and Veterans who struggle with the invisible wounds.
The Soldiers Fund made a grant toward Home Base’s Intensive Clinical Program (ICP), which is an outpatient treatment program that combines evidence-based medicine with complementary and alternative medicine in a concentrated fashion. Patients receive roughly 50 hours of individual and group therapy. What would normally take up to a year in a traditional course of treatment is condensed into a two-week program, allowing Veterans who are dealing with invisible wounds to be put on a path of success that will compliment their ongoing care in their home towns.
